Death: Husband living apart from wife in Rajkot leaves 3-month-old daughter unconscious in wife’s hut, escapes to hospital
The postmortem report revealed that the girl had died of pneumonia
Varsha Bhabhor, a native of Dahod, who lives in a slum near Rani Tower on Kalavad Road in Rajkot, was in her hut at night. Her husband Akshay, who was living apart from her at the time, had left his three-month-old daughter Priyanka unconscious. The mother and younger sister were rushed to a civil hospital for treatment. But the doctor on duty declared the girl dead. Police conducted a forensic post-mortem to determine the cause of the girl’s death. The girl died of pneumonia in the initial report.
The wife was moving in with her mother as her husband was arguing
The staff of the hospital outpost informed the taluka police about this and the staff rushed to the spot and took necessary action. The girl’s mother Varshaben said, “Husband Akshay has a relationship with a woman. She came to my mother who lived in a hut near the town. Akshay later took my daughter away from me after a quarrel. Last night he suddenly left his daughter unconscious and fled. We brought her to the hospital and she died.
Akshay was terrified when the girl fainted
According to the initial police investigation, Akshay was terrified when the girl fell unconscious due to illness. So Akshay left the girl with her mother. Police have questioned the family members and are searching for Akshay.
