Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, said that Google is going to invest Rs 75,000 crore in the next 5-10 years for Digital India. Google’s investment will be in equity investment, partnership, and operational infrastructure ecosystem industry. Google announced a partnership with CBSE, under which e-learning will be expanded and 10 lakh teachers from 22 thousand schools in the country will be trained one-class.

# He said that Google has created a fund of digitization for India. This fund is worth 10 billion dollars or about 75 thousand crores rupees. Think of it this way, with this money, India can complete missions like Chandrayaan-2 77 times. The total cost on the Chandrayaan-2 mission was Rs 970 crore.
# Pichai said that 75 thousand crore rupees will be spent over the next five-seven years in ways like a partnership, stake, operations, and infrastructure. Under this, Google will work closely with Indian companies. Also, he will do some work alone and will help financially for some works.
# The CEO of Google said that in the years to come from this fund, the Internet will be molded according to the people of India. That is, Google will create a lot of facilities according to the different languages of India so that the common man can easily use the Internet.
Which areas will be invested
Sundar Pichai said that there will be an investment in four sectors in India.
  • First, information and the internet will be made available for every Indian in his language. Be it Hindi, Tamil, Punjabi, or Malayalam.
  • Second, new products and facilities will be created, which will be entirely based on India’s needs.
  • Third, small traders will be empowered, so that they can be digitally prepared. That is, we can advance our work through the Internet.
  • Fourth, technology and artificial intelligence will be promoted in people-related work. These include areas such as health, education, and farming.

Pichai gave two examples in this regard. One, Flood Forecasting System means a flood prediction system. Through this, those areas will be evacuated in advance, where there will be floods, which will reduce the damage. Second, the online ‘Bolo’ app. Its name is now ‘Read-Along’. Through this, children learn and learn by themselves. This app was made for India. But now it has also been made available in 180 countries.
