The accident took place between BRTS bus and Tempo early this morning near Ambedkar Bridge in the city. The BRTS had penetrated the underbridge two days ago
Two days ago, the entire bus rammed into the city’s Akhbarnagar underbridge, splitting into two, injuring two people. The driver sustained serious injuries from these two injuries. According to the details received, a BRTS bus was passing near Akhbarnagar underbridge in the city at around noon when a two-wheeler driver came across it, following which preliminary information was received that the accident had taken place.
The steering lock collided with the underbridge, averting a major mishap as passengers disembarked at the last station.
The BRTS bus climbed over the divider due to over speed and steering lock collided with the underpass pillar, causing the bus to tear in half from the middle. Shortly before the accident, all the passengers had landed near Pragtinagar and narrowly escaped a major accident.
The incident was so serious that the bus was ripped to 9 feet from the driver’s side, leaving only the inside of the bus in ruins. The injured driver Ramesh Makwana was unloading the passenger near Pragtinagar and taking the bus to the RTO depot. At that time, as soon as the bus was unloading in the underpass, the steering wheel of the bus was locked and the bus collided with the divider and caused an accident.
